端午节传说及由来：

关于端午节的由来，其实向来都说法不一。大多数人将它视为是纪念于五月初五投汨罗江的爱国诗人屈原。也有人说，这一个节日在古代，是一个消毒避疫的日子。

端午原本是是感恩的祭祀，感谢大自然的赐予，黍子丰收提供了粮食。有了粮食才能养育人类，粽子是丰收的黍子做成的贡品，在人类享用之前，先请大自然享用。祭祀大火星，是因为这时大火星在中天，大火星在中天时，就是黍子成熟、收获的时节。

那天为什么百姓手中会有现成的粽子呢?因为那天是一个祭祀的日子，祭祀大火星，这颗星就是心宿二，曾经的商星，就是商朝时候对商部落来说最重要的一颗星。这个时候也是个收获的季节，这一天，大火星在中天，端午也叫中天节，午是地支中的一个，把中天节改成端午也是一个历法变更的过程。这一天把收获的黍子包在叶子中，包成棱角的形状，称为角黍，用于祭祀大火星。
